Comparison of bite statistics........

Lucas Dec 16, 2003 08:22 PM

Would anyone be able to help me in finding a site or just giving some information on the dog and cat bite statistics against snake bite statistics. I am doing an essay and I wanted to do it on this subject but its hard to find the statistics. I saw once on one of the forums with certain numbers....how many hospital visits b/c of dogs/cats compared to that of snakes. Just any hard evidence and proof of the statistics would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Also if anyone has any statistics on diseases that can be transmitted to humans from each animal that would be very helpful as well....Any help is much appreciated...

Disease transmission- check it out under 'Zoonoses'. Makes you never want to pet a cat again!

Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?
