Tremper vs. Rainwater

frostfire Dec 17, 2003 10:28 AM

This is a hypothesis breeding question. I have a female Albino Tangerine Tremper and a male Albino Tangerine Rainwater. What would happen if I bred the two together? Would the hatchlings still have the Albino Tangerine markings or would they be something completely different? Thanks!

What you would get is a double het animal - which probably will have tangerine in the body.

It won't be albino - because they are two different forms of albinism. But you offspring wouild be double hets - for tremper and rainwater. Actually that would be pretty fun.

Breed the hets to a double het for a true banana blizzard - man I can't even do the math - but you would have possible quadruple hets for Las Vegas, Tremper, Leucistic and Blizzard.

Now wouldn't that be a fun breeding project - putting those quad hets together. Each hatch would be like Christmas. tons of fun . . .
