i don't have a leo gecko yet ..

im wondering about habitat..

if i get a rubbermaid container big enough to be a 20 gal.
would it be safe with heatpad thing that goes under.. would it melt the rubbermaid container...

what about the kritterkeeper reptile ranch... would it be safe with the heatpad .. no melting right?

oh, im goiing to dorm at school and when i go back home durin the break or in between semester, im not sure what to do with the leo, i mean, my aunt said no lizards in the house cause she got little grandkids under 5 yrs of ageand she don't want them get the salmonnela ... and no matter how much i tell her that to get that is by not washing hands after handling the leo and i don't intend to let the kids to touch it ...

hi, i asked the same question to someone who uses the big plastic storage tote as a cage and he said it doesn't melt through - his friend does the same thing and leaves the UTH on full blast (no thermostat) and it's been going fine.

as for the kritter keepers - i think even the long one may be too small for a leo. but, i think it'll hold up a UTH - the only thing is, it'll be hard to take the UTH of both of these things when you stick them, so if you decided to switch cages, you're stuck.

I'd also be concerned about what you're going to do w/ the leo when you have breaks from school, if you're not allowed to bring it home?
