But I still love my corn snakes. If it's not big enough to eat me or my cats and doesn't bite like a rodent I'm going to continue to keep it.

Even my step daughter who was terrified of snakes has come to love and handle our corns often. What better education for a child then hands on experience?

He is a respected member of the scientific herp community as well as medicine.
His site is linked below. There you can find a multitude of info on toxins from all types of animals including the paper he recently published showing toxins found in many colubrids species. But we all knew Garter snakes were venomous, right?
