I seen them three weeks ago and my eyes lit up. I bought two and went back a week later and they were all gone. I was ticked, I checked three other wal-marts and they were also all out. Hopefully they get some more I sure could use them.

I got one; went back the next day and got the last two. They are perfect; very secure feeling even with my 12' burm inside. I thought about posting myself. They stack/nest well too. I've been using them for holding while I clean, but I'm thinking about using them for more permanent enclosures. I'm trying to think of some sort of ventilation besides drill holes...

All the time I wished they made something that big, all the time the largest thing I could find was 50g. Ah man if anybody makes some type of enclosure or racks please post a pic, im really thinking I could make a 2 level rack for my 2 boas. Any think it can be done

A rack! Good idea; it can be done. I think they would "nest" in a 2x4 frame.

If you really need one, these are the same tubs carried by reptiletubs.com as the VE-175 series. 1-10 are $30 each. Wish I had had gone to WalMart before buying 2. These might be a seasonal item for WalMart but if anyone knows make/model or another supplier, could they post?

jeeperscreepers Dec 18, 2003 12:14 PM

Yes there seasonal, there storage for artifical Christmas trees.check back at the places you all got yours from,i asked the lady who helped me find the lid for one and it was on a top shelf in the toy department along with another rubbermaid..she said they will have more in during the holidays...Made by:IRIS USA Inc. I went to the walmart today and they had 10 of those things I bought three and broke one when I was brining it down, sorry. But do you use the lids on these with snakes, or do you not use the lids. I know for a normal rack you dont use them but with a bigger burm or monitor is that lid secure. Please post pics if you got them of what your set up looks like
Thanks
Jeff

You can go either way with the lids.if using the lid you just make the shelf to fit flat on the top of rubbermaid, plus with these lids it gives you about 4 extra inches.i like using the lids because i like to take each rubbermaid down and put on a table and clean that way, then when im doing water and stuff i can just latch the lid.your lucky they had that many there,i just ordered 10 this morning from the wal-mart here..it sucks that this is just a seasonal item.they could make alot of money from the reptile world with these monsters...about the one you cracked, just melt some plastic over the crack

jeeperscreepers Dec 20, 2003 08:04 PM

i havent built a rack yet,but im thinking of just doing it from 2x2's or 4's with shelves , real simple, maybe paint'em white and putting wheels on them, that way you can wheel them sideways in rows along a wall to save space instead of putting lengthwise, maybe 4 to a rack

Thanks for the heads up. I found some at my local Wal*Mart today and bought two. I'm going to build the rack tomorrow, and then I'll post pics.

The Wal*Mart I went to had 11 of them. If the rack turns out as nicely as I think it will, I might have to go get more...if they've still got some.
