Do you guys ever see your RETF eat?

chameleoncrow Dec 17, 2003 01:11 PM

Hi froggers,

I have never seen my RETF eat before, and quite honestly, would love to catch them in action. Crickets go missing from the tank, so i would surmise that they do eat something. Just that most of the time they are alseep, even late at nite when i sneak up to get a glimpse of them. Strange thing though, they normally wake up in the morning, walk around for a bit, and go back to sleep.

I've actually seen both of mine eat several times. I went through a "night owl" phase where I just couldn't get to sleep before 3 am and when there wasn't anyhting on TV I'd just sit at my enclosures and watch my froggies with a flashlight covered by a piece of a red plastic bag. I even have a couple real early on photos of them eating (when they were just a couple weeks on land)

The trick is to sit very very still for a very long time.
