Hey,

I would also suggest a pictus gecko. They are easy to take care of, and stay fairly small.

Scratch the tokay and the skunk since they are not small. All other arboreal species are too active for the 10 gallon. Stick to small ground dwelling species like the panther geckos, frog eye geckos (teratoscincus scincus), banded geckos (coleonyx ssp.) and so forth. I just got a coleonyx mitratus and hes pretty cool to watch.

I just bought a Panther Gecko.. she will only get as big as a baby leo, and she is beautiful. Their eyes are like marbles and they are so small. They have a brown/black colouration but will turn into a red one.. really pretty!

Ya know.... Some great suggestions and all, but it really just depends on a lot of stuff. It depends on your experience level, how much money you're willing to spend, whether or not you want an arboreal or a terrestrial gecko, whether or not it matters to you if the species you're choosing hides all the time, how you orient the ten gallon aquarium (as far as vertical or horizontal) and whether or not you want a tropical, forest or desert dwelling gecko.
