Can you overfeed a ally snapper

Hraaij Jun 03, 2003 01:06 PM

Hya.

There are about several goldfish in my ally snapper tank. He seems to be eating 2-4 of them each day. The snapper is about 4 inches en the goldfish about 2inches. Can you overfeed him or will he stop eating once he has had enough?

Thanks in advance.

H.

I know there is some discussion about this. Some say it is, some say it isn't. But can you tell me which fish should be more suitable? Can you please give my there latin names as I live in holland and we have different common names. And can you overfeed an ally?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry I don't know the latin names but goldfish are too fatty to be fed often, they zre part of the capr family which has lot of tham.... (sorry I don't know how to spell it). Also they have weak ammun systems and its said that some illness maybe possible to be transferred to turtles. I sure someone else will reply aswell. All turtles and any reptile for that matter will eat at every chance as much as possible, since in thw wild they don't know when there next meal is. But in captivity they don't figure that out so yes it can over eat.
