Gecko going blind?

highendherps Dec 17, 2003 09:10 PM

I just noticed that one of my geckos eyes have become greyish and cloudy... She seems not too aware of her suroundings... She is about 3-4 years of age, and has been bred for 2 seasons... Is it possbile for her to be going blind at this age? Just wondering if you guys have any info on gecko blindness? Thanks, Jon

The description sounds like cataracts. I don't know if leos can get them but I've heard of dogs getting them. Some animals can develop them early, but I don't really know if reptiles can get cataracts.
