um in my opinion it should be almost time to start how big is it?
i think it matters more about size then age also consider the animals willing ness to be handled...make sure your extreamly gentle and its probly best to start touching it first see if it scurrrys off or stays if it stays then its time to try and coax the animal onto your hand..also try baby food on the tip of your fingure....but what ever you do just dont force any thing on the animal...its better to wait till the animals read for your companion ship then to end up with a gecko thats scared of you and or injured and or tail less

He is between 2.5 - 3 inches long. He tends to move away from my hand. He has a 15 G aquarium full of tropical plants, so I can see why he would prefer that to my hand. He does not seem to like peach babyfood. I will keep trying with fresh mashed banana on my finger, but he usually turns his head away if the mixture touches his nose. Is there anything else I can coax him with?
Thanks so much!

as babies, i believe they prefer more meaty foods than fruits and veggie type foods. so you might want to try the turkey or meat baby foods, as well as crickets. as your crestie gets older, you'll notice that s/he will prefer more of the fruits and less meatie foods
