Updated Pics of Mr Attitude

John Q Dec 17, 2003 10:44 PM

Just some updated pics of Mr Attitude. He's a Hopkins Co-Dominant stripe male. He earned the name because he constantly bit me for the first few months. He's finally calmed down. For this photo session, no hissing, no biting, not even an attempt.

What's the scientific classification for that snake?
Common bci? bcc ,,,,ect. ect. ect.

He's a Columbian BCI produced by Jim Hopkins. Jim has proven this line to be co-dominant stripe. He is also hypo but not the same strain that is out in the market. The blocked saddles are also a characteristic of the co-dom stripers. I've had him since he was just a couple months old. I named him because of his bad attitude and tendency to hiss, strike, and bite as a baby. I got tired of it and knew I had to work with him alot to break him of this habit. I would put on gloves and let him have at it until he would tire himself out. Sometimes that was as much as 50 strikes. When I had him out for the pics posted yesterday, not one strike, no hissing, and not even an attempt to bite.
He is currently entering a shed cycle so he was slightly darker. The pics below are from February this year and the last one is from June this year. Thats a shot taken at dusk on my patio. Compare the concrete color for accuracy.
He's in with my Ihle Salmon and I'm hoping he'll get the job done.

Got Bats?

my bunch were little devils, lunging and striking the walls while in their rubbermaids if I was passing by more than 10 feet away!!!

Thanks goodness they have all calmed down except for one female, but she's mostly full of hot air.. lol

Take care!
