my painted had some white chalky stuff around his eyes. i can't see it when he's in the water, it comes out after he's been basking for a while. he acts totally normal. i am assuming this would be dissolve minerals in the water. anyone ever have this before or know what it really is?

oh, and its not on the eyes, it makes a ring around them. he doesn't seem to be irritated by it or anything. mabye fungus? what gets rid of it?

It actually sounds normal to me, if there is anyway for you to send a picture that would be great......but it sounds normal, how old and how big is he? Did you just start noticing it?
