eliot,
. A rubbermaid tub works fine for a little BRB if you have the temperature controlled. The humidity is not much of a problem if you do not make very many airholes in the tub. Many people find that they get the humidty they want with no holes in the rubbermaid just by using a damp substrate. The important thing is to control the temperature. With a small cage if you get the temperature too hot there is nowhere for the snake to retreat from the heat.

We keep our BRB's and Irian Jaya Carpets in large tubs slid into a rack system and it works great. We put a smaller tub inside at each end of the large tub for hides. We put damp paper towels in the cool hider (80F)and our BRB's spend most of their time in it or resting on top of it. They seem to move to the warm hide(95F) after a meal.
