Leo can't shed eye(lids?) Help needed

karosenberg Dec 18, 2003 06:45 AM

I posted this yesterday, but got only one responce. I have a male leo who can't shed his eyes properly. he gets a buildup of shed in his eyes and then he won't open them. I took him to the vet and they used a tiny tweezers and a tiny q-tip to pull some out. Is there a way I can do this myself? I tried a normal q-tip- he just squeezed his eyes shut so I couldn't do anything. Any suggestions??????

How is the skin getting stuck in his eyes in the first place?

Get a ears swab, and dampin it. You then hold you gecko securely, and comfortly, and gently rub it of. But if you let the skin build up in layers. it will get harder to take off.
