my veileds casque is crooked

lesliejulius Dec 18, 2003 12:20 PM

I have a 3 year old male veiled and he is huge. His casque is about 3" tall, it seems like his casque never stops growing. The more it grows, the more crooked it gets. I've looked all over the internet at pictures of veilds, never seen one with that large of a casque, and definatley never seen one with a crooked one! Anyone have any insight? Thanks!

Sorry cant help as to why its crooked.

My son nearly killed mine by trapping his casque in the lid of my old viv nearly a year ago. I learned a good few leasons that day!

Any way here is a pick of him now a year on after it and doing just fine

If the casque is soft, bendable or drooping I would worry. Few things in nature are straight or symetrical. Pics you see are most often the animals the photographer thinks are perfect or most impressive. If he's healthy and active with straight strong limbs he's fine.
