I was never able to get my beardie back on crickets. he used to love them. then, once in a while, i started giving him superworms as a treat. he decided crickets weren't good enough and has never touched them again. *sigh*
sorry i don't have any suggestions, but to let you know i have read here (from a few people) that beardies can get spoiled easily. i think that's what happened with me - hopefully not you, too!

You have a spoiled dragon : ) I introduced wax worms to my beardies shortly after I got them just for a treat. Well it became that they simply refused to eat anything but waxworms and greens w/vege's. Giving them waxworms is like giving a child candy, they can never get enough. I stopped giving mine waxworms for about 2 weeks and would give them other options and they refused to eat for about 1 week and then they realized it was just salad unless they tried other things again. Now I give them greens every day and I alternate between crickets/mealworms/waxworms/superworms. What i usually do now that I have them eating normally is I will give them a couple waxworms along with crickets/mealworms/superworms and if they only eat the waxworms then they go hungry that night and we try again the next day. Trust me this works and I have three chubby little dragons to prove it.
I dont think my dragon has ever been eating his veggies. So doing what you said would be enough to keep him from dying until he eats his crickets? Also are the reflector/clamp lamps the same thing as a regular household desk lamp? Or do they direct more heat?
"Also are the reflector/clamp lamps the same thing as a regular household desk lamp? Or do they direct more heat"
What kind of bulb are you using? Desk lamps are usually only rated for 60 or 75 watt bulbs. You risk overheating the fixture and causing, at best, a burnout ,at worst, a fire. I would get a ceramic clamp fixture for safety. (Sorry, husband is an electrician and we are very concerned about such things
He inspects my herp enclosures WEEKLY to make sure they are "up to code
