Unbelieveable! yee-ha

I got this cute little pastel jungle from Oz at Ozzyboids two weeks ago Wednesday. He had been eating live rat pups, and had a nice healthy weight to show for it! Well, after letting him settle for two weeks, I just happened to get my order of frozen rodents from RodentPro today and thawed up a pup. This little guy has an awesome feeding response! I didn't have to even try. . .awesome! Thanks, Oz!

It's so much easier for me to feed f/t than live. Man, do I feel lucky!

Cool, I love when they eat F/T. Is that a dog bowl in your cage?

He likes toi hide under it and the plastic it is made of is very easy to clean. I have some other crock type bowls that are nearly impossible to keep from gathering hard water stains. Maybe I could invest in bottled water too, I know, but these work well for my smaller snakes.

You are lucky Janie. The one I got is (so far) strickly a live hopper mouse feeder. He won't touch prekilled or rats, has a strong feeling response on live hoppers though. Never refused one of those yet.

Its great isn't it? My new rescue bp is the mellowest feeder I've ever had. If it is possible for a snake to stroll, he did. Barely a week after the stress of shipping and arrival at a new home he strolled up to a row of f/t mice and began swallowing. 30 minutes later he had finished 4, and was looking for the hide. My co-workers had to put up with lots of "proud parent" stories. They were nice about it.

My co-workers aren't as understanding. Some of them are interested, but they don't want to hear about what they eat!

It's hard to make other people understand how exciting a new snake swallowing a frozen meal can be! Well cograts on your new "kid".
