More signs of gravid water dragon?

chong188 Dec 18, 2003 10:48 PM

okay my female is still doing that thing where she stands up on all fours, but not as much but she did it today only when saturn head bobbed at her and she seemed to lift her bottom up as well, is she sort of "presenting" herself? also shes is losing a bit of weight in her pelvis/base of tail/hind legs area its not that im not feeding her enough shes still on her feeding schedule of being fed every other day, but now in winter i slow her feedings down to 1 every 3rd day, but she gets either a hopper or large fuzzie or 15-25 superworms, could this loss of weight be a sign of gravidness? ive heard that it could.

Thanks for all replys.

There is no reason to cut back on feedings because it is winter, chinese water dragons don't brumate or slow down in winter. My dragon only lost weight when she was gravid because she stopped eating completely for 4-6 weeks.
