What size containers and a few other Q >>>

RedQuake Dec 18, 2003 11:08 PM

I've been thinking alot about when my guys breed (Zoe is on her way to breeding size) and i was wondering.....how large should the containers be for the babies? I'd like to keep them separate. I have two large towers i built as shelving units for videos and CD's but i'm not using them for that anymore so i could easily fit containers there.

Also, i'm suddenly having trouble with my temps. The surface of the UTH (with tiles on top) will range from 88-97 degrees depending on the room temps. If i have the room at about 70 or above the temps of the tanks are high but if it drops down so do the tanks....i can't seem to keep the surface temps stable at all with a rheostat. The room temps can and do drop even with the heater on constantly. I'm thinking of getting a thermostat for the UTH's instead. Would that be the thing to do? None of the guys seem to mind the temps at all.....i am seeing more of a variation of movement from warm to cool side but for the most part they are all staying on the warm side. Right now the room is at 70 and the two tanks closest to me are at 93 and 97 degrees....i can't even keep the tanks at the same temps with all the same setups.....

Thanks for any advice

or either 16 or 17 quarts. You'll probably be able to keep clutchmates together since they are so small, but once they are bigger you'll have to seperate them.

Thankyou very much I'm so looking forward to hatching out babies. I was told that Bronx is het but i can't remember what, think albino and Boo might be het for something as well. It'll be interesting to see what the babies turn out like.

Thanks again
