i've been thinking of getting a liasus python but can't decide which one would be the best to start with in this species!
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks, Skubasteve

If you are just looking for a manageable sized pet snake, you can't go wrong with a macklot's python (Liasis mackloti mackloti) or Sawu python (L. m. savuensis), either one makes a great pet, calm down very nicely as adults, and both are extremely easy to care for and forgiving of keeper error. If you want something a bit larger, then I would highly recommend the olive python, Liasis olivaceus, as these are the gentle giants with great dispositions (usually).
Thanks. That is kind of what I have been hearing. Know anyone that breeds Olives?

I sold out of my hatchlings from last year, and due to a relocation this past fall my breeding season was a disaster but I am hoping to get some more next season. Check out some of the posts below as there was somebody that had produced some hatchlings that will likely be for sale. Cheers
I live in Holland, in Europe so I guess that's a problem.
Cheers,
Bas

Wow...great looking snakes! Holland is quite far...shipping here would be a tough one!
I have a couple of juv. Liasis fuscus (water pythons) They love their food and are known as easy to breed. They are not a dopy kind of snake, pretty alert and lightning fast when grabbing... Watch for fingers... Otherwise very gentle when beeing handled. Cheap to buy (here in Queensland) and will grow to a respectable 2.50m with a good girth.
