sounds like she enjoys digging. some dragons enjoy having burrows. Does she have a hiding spot? She may be trying to make one.

She is just trying to make her hiding area as comfy as possible. Mine when kept on sand did this all the time.

eggs. They won't be fertile, but it can happen.

ChristyJ is correct. If your female is showing signs of excessive digging, digging like there is no tomorrow she could possibly be carring unfertile eggs and looking for a place to burrow a den to lay these eggs. If you very gently palpatate her abdomen and feel any bumpy areas you may want to take her to the vet where they can xray her to see if she could possible carrying eggs. This way you can ward off any potential problems such as getting egg bound.

I also agree with Christyj. I'd take her to a vet just to be sure. You don't want your beardie to die eggbound thinking she's trying to "get comfy". All my females dig like crazy when they are ready to lay their eggs, whether fertile or not. Don't take the chance. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

Female dragons (like most other animal species) will stop eating right before they need to lay and then dig like mad. If she has been acting this way for over a month, I highly doubt that this is the case.
I would say it is more likely she is trying to cycle herself. Giver her something she can bury herself in to brumate for a couple months, then when she comes out, she will be ready to mate. Unless this is not what you had im mind of course

So she's two years old? Has she ever been examined by a vet just for a check-up? It certainly wouldn't hurt to have her checked out & a fecal sample done. If you are planning on breeding her, then you'll want her to be in top condition.
Just my two cents,
Cricket
