Of course, I thinks she/he (I really don't know yet) is stunning and has a near perfect pattern. Camera's don't do corns justice when you have to use a flash, tends to fade out their rich colors. Anyway, here's my 03' normal corn. Still a little jumpy compared to my 4 other corns who are as calm as can be. But we're working on that.

One is my Snow, Kandykorn the other is my Anery Popcorn. I have to measure but I'd have to say they are almost the same size give or take an inch. Both just started on Rat pups the other week and LOVED them.

Well what can I say about the rats... One had a litter of three the other week (which popkorn and kandy throughly enjoyed ) and the other female looked like she went into labor and I never saw any pups....so have no clue what happened there. Now I'm waiting till the week after christmas when the new litters are due. I still don't like rats, the females are mean and will bite, the male is the only nice one that will let me hold him.

And I love the tunnel shot too, it was too funny because I was just pointing the camera down the paper towel roll not knowing what I was going to end up with.

rat trouble! Things have been going really good with my first litter. I am going to e-mail you some questions about your females. You should be able to enjoy them a little too...at least it shouldn't be that hard.

Yep, I love seeing all the unique pictures on here because it gives me ideas. Although, I still haven't gotten the hang of getting my snakes to pose yet. My boa even likes to bite the camera, which is fun for me.

You know, you are really starting to build up quite the zoo too!

My female rat was mean too! I was already breeding mice for my water dragon, and thought I'd try rats since the babies were so much bigger, and I didn't like killing them, so I only fed them to the dragon as babies. But I got a pair of rats at PetCo, (never again) and the female was already pregnant. I didn't know, and the male was really nice, so I reached in to pick her up and she bit my knuckle so deep I could see my bones! I let them breed a few times, and the dragon loved the babies, but gave them back to the pet store a few months later. I couldn't touch them after that bite. It HURT!

Now I buy them frozen, and my snow absolutely loves them. She never fed this excitedly when I fed her mice, and she's never skipped a meal!

Well I guess one good thing I can say about them, is that if they are mean to me I don't feel as bad stealing their babies and feeding them to a snake . Of course my husband is such an animal lover, he was giving me crap about that too....and he knew that's exactly the reason I got them, becuase otherwise, I don't like really care for rats and wouldn't go out of my way to keep them as pets. I can't wait till my other three corns are big enough to put on rat pups. I noticed one good thing though and I don't know if it had anything to do with the rats or not but my anery was having kinda bad sheds (not coming off in one peice) and yesterday I found this nice whole shed in her cage. Last saturday was when I fed her the rat pup. WOOOHOO.

Some rats are just mean, but for the most part they shouldn't be. Especially if you buy rats bred to be pets and not feeders. There is little difference between the two except usually pet rats are treated better as babies. Moms who have babies can be a little more agressive because they are protecting their young. I get dumbos at the local pet store because they are usually sweet and good moms. Those big, cute ears are going to make it harder to kill them though. The pinks I don't mind feeding as much as the weanlings who are all cute and stuff. I don't let it bug me too much because my snakes have to eat. I like the idea of breeding my own because then I know they are top quality nutritionally and don't have mites or other problems. I don't have room in my small freezer to buy frozen from a reputable seller in bulk. My corns really seem to be doing better since I swiched them to rats and I wouldn't go back to mice. They totally pig them down.
