My very first field guide that I received when I was 8, was "A Field Guide to Reptiles and Amphibians," Roger Conant- 1958. I still have it in good shape. I never let anyone borrow it, and I always brought the animal back home for identification because I treasured its information.
I am thankful his passing was peaceful.
Happy Winter Herping.
