New Baby corns - Please post pics of adult Christmas and Blood red corns!

lovelyleopards Dec 19, 2003 05:25 PM

Santa (in the form of a FedEx man) brought these little guys a few days early. They're from Xtreme Reptiles. The lighter one (sorry for the blurry pic)is a male Christmas corn and the other one is a baby female bloodred. Anybody with pics of what these will look like as adults, please post them! I've seen adult bloodreds and love the intensity of their colors, but I'm not sure about the Christmas corn. Thanks!!!

I haven't the foggiest idea what constitutes a Christmas corn...

...but here's a picture of an adult amel bloodred.

Someone asked before what they were, and I don't remember the answer, but from your pic it looks like a dark amel or hypo, or light normal.....I could be seriously wrong here, but either Christmas corn is just a marketing scheme or it's a hybrid...That's just my opinion, and mainly because I've never seen one on any of the "big breeders" sites. I hope I'm wrong, for your sake. I just wonder since I only hear the word Christmas Corns at this time of the year....

Someone correct me if i'm wrong here please?

If I remember correctly (and nowadays, that's a BIG if), the folks at Gourmet Rodent came up with a line of snakes they call Christmas corns. I believe the black areas have a dark greenish cast to them, resulting in a "red and green" snake, hence the name.

Old age? LOL I'd like to know then if they are just line bred normals? Or if they are hybrids? I don't like green, so I wouldn't want one myself, but I'd love to see a pic of an adult. I'll have to check out gourmet rodent I guess, do they have pics? I just find it odd that I never hear of them except around christmas
