I am hoping to set up a new habitat for my newts. It would be helpful if you could post a pic of your setup to give me ideas. Also what live plants would you recommend?

Many plants are suitable, but need to be able to withstand low water temperatures, i.e. not tropical plants. Much depends on how much light the tank will get.

thank you
I find that moneywort grows really well in my tank & my snails don't eat it. They ate my banana plant in a matter of days! I'm not sure of the name of my other plants... I'd recommend you go to the gallery here on Kingsnake & look under "aquariums, terraruims" etc. Here are pics of mine. I have 2 JFBs & 4 CFBs in here.
