Chinese Water Dragon Colour

Tanthalasa Dec 19, 2003 05:45 PM

Hey, I've had my water dragon for a couple of months now and I noticed that when I see pictures of other water dragons they are a bright green colour, but mine isn't. He's always kinda dark green, except for when he sleeps, then he turns a very light green. Could someone please explain? Or is this normal and I'm making a fuss over nothing?

They are usually dark green when they are stressed, and he turns bright green when he sleeps because he is relaxed. You may need to check your temps and humidity levels to find out why he isn't happy. Can he see another animal, or is he housed with another reptile?
