Canned Food OK for holidays?

blue_tegu Dec 19, 2003 09:38 PM

i'm going away for the holidays and my moms' taking care of my tegu for me. you guys think its ok if i have her feed him canned Wysong food everyday with some fruit? It's all meat and is what was reccommended to me, no grains, no fillers, no vitamins, pure meat. Should be ok, right? There are six different kinds, beef, chicken, venison, duck, rabbit, and lamb. Also, someone had asked for the Wysong website, it's wysong.net. No harm in doing this for two weeks, right?

Also, another canned food that you could offer would be to offer Tuna Fish, drained, but otherwise straight out of the can. I offered it to my Tegu today for the first time, and he seemed to really like it!

Good Luck!

If she would give him even a couple of those different kinds of meat and fruit that would be a great diet for him. If he's young still maybe some calcium would be ideal but probably not necessary for just a 2 week period. Tegus are very hardy critters and I'm sure they could survive with much less. Have a good holiday trip
