This here was built by my dad. He owns a glass company so naturally he gets the glass fairly cheap. The tanks dimensions are 48" X 20" X 20" The back is smoked glass and I went to Petsmart and bought one of those plastic background scenes. I purchased the cork from the local reptile show vendors. FOr substrate, I use a combination of ECO earth expandable coconut shreds and ZooMED's Jungle mix organic dirt. It hods humidity quite well, but lately I been having some dust trouble with it. Plus you shouldn't feed your snakes on it...Lets see, most of the cage deco I bought from the reptile shows and/or my local craft store (Michael's for plants). That's about all I can come up with...ENJOY!

well my dad also built me one, so this is our first. the vents on the sides need to be smaller on the next version, but my dad didn't do too bad considering he had never seen a snake cage (he lives in small town CO and I live in Los Angeles). he designed this by me giving him a basic idea. This is right after he brought it so it is before it was really set-up. the tank is
35x17x17 and it hinges on the bottom so it is easy to get the snake out.

is it better to use dirt or wood chips ?
thx
