help breeding or killing need pro help

i was sleeping and then i was woke up by a load thrashing sound. i looked over to my yellow ackie cage and my little ackie was on top of my bigger ackie the little one was biteing the front legs and shacking the other ackie around.what the heck is this all about.i got in the cage and broke it up(what ever it was). whats going on they have never had a fight? what should i do?

that's fighting, not mating. Mating is usually gentle and consenting.

Chances are, they are fighting over something rather than fighting for the fun of it all. Try putting more hide spots around the enclosure, a few more visual barriers in the form of cage 'furniture' like sticks, rocks and small logs. You may find you need an extra basking spot.

If the animals are of breeding size, it's possible one of them was giving the other unwanted attention and the smaller one finally got jack of it and retaliated.

In the end, you'll have to watch them closely as no one here will know what is going on there as well as you will.
