Question for Mike Jolliff

flaskeeter Dec 20, 2003 10:27 AM

Mike, am I correct in understanding that you plan to cross your beautiful sunglow into the white-sided line? Would that result in a white-sided snake with a red back (and would folks call that a "peppermint stick"?lol)? I've been dreaming of a snake like that ever since I saw (and fell in love with) the licorice sticks. PLEASE keep us posted!

Me too....I think it will be a reality very soon. It is my understanding that the founder of the Licorice Sticks, George Muskingom, will prob. be the first to do so. The sunglow (aka Sunrise) Albinos popped up out of the Leucistic bloodlines. Apparently, it has spontaneously hatched from both WC Leucistic bloodlines which also produce "Rusty" Black Rats. Makes me think this new strain is an Albino Rusty. Time will tell....my female Sunglow has another year (maybe two) before she is ready. I'm going to take some new pix soon - her colour is amazing. Can't wait for someone to produce one.....good luck & happy holidays!!

OK, now I know I'm missing out on something. I hadn't heard about this. It sounds like a gorgeous snake. Is this the look that Hotshot showed us a few days back?

Definately different. I am working on getting some pix posted for you all - may take me a day or two.

That's exactly what I've been dreaming of-and now there's hope that my dream will come true! And by then, I'll be able to convince my hubby that I really, really need one (or two) more snakes. Have a very happy herpy holiday!
