Alternative to the Zoomed lamp stand?

trevoro Dec 20, 2003 05:47 PM

Is there an alternative out there that does the same thing as the zoomed lamp stand? I don't feel like paying $40 Canadian for something that looks like it should cost me half of that.

Thanks

i don't mean to sound, well, mean, but i never buy lights from pet stores. you're just paying for a label. just go to Lowe's and get some kind of fixture for light bulbs. they sell ceramic lamp fixtures that should cover what you need.

while we're on the subject, the only things i buy from pet stores anymore are feeders, supplements, tanks and screen lids, plus cork bark. I make my own substrates and buy lights/fixtures from department and hardware stores for around a third of what i would apy for the same products in pet stores.
