Tokay Food Questions?

Herper123 Dec 20, 2003 07:13 PM

I have a large adult male Tokay Gecko.I have had him for more than two years. How many crickets do you think he can eat a day?I have been feeding him about 20 every 2 days.I feed him superworms, mealworms, earthworms, pinkies and crickets.I know you guys are going to get mad but I keep him in a 10 gallon tank(I hope to get him in a bigger one soon!).Once again how many crickets do you think he can eat?

At two years plus he must be around a foot long. I know mine have a pretty good appetite but I'm feeding three that same size plus all the babies running around. I usually drop in about 7-8 crix per Tokay every other day and don't seem to have a abundance of extra crickets in the tank. Depnding on the size of the crix I would say what youre doing should be about right(med crix). I wouldnt think he would need more than that but if you constantly have uneaten loose crix I would lower the amount some.
