(OT) Building and incubator

SimonSez Dec 21, 2003 12:13 AM

I have decided that since i now have bearded dragons, leopard tortoises and leopard geckoes laying eggs that i need to look into a larger incubator. I was wondering if anyone here has every used an old freezer and converted it into an incubator. If you have please give me specifics on how you did it and what all you did to the freezer.
I was figuiring on gutting the compressor and using some light bulbs at the bottom ( heat rises) and adding some sort of ventilation. Give me any ideas that you might have. Thanks

I plan on using an old fridge this year also. My idea is to use a small track light set in the bottom with a good thermostat to control the temps.
