can chameleons go on christmas trees???
thx
it's just my opinion but:
I wouldn't risk an eye injury with all those pine needles.
Not to mention pine sap is sticky, and harsh.
Remember, they make pine sol and Buckleys cough syrup from pine needles.
No way would I let my cham near a pine tree of any kind.

Looked at the tree, then my red tamatave and said... hmmm that would be a cute christmas card... then common sence kicked in.
it would have made a cute card though hehe

yeah, it was for a christmas card!!! would have been great, if they are not poisonous i wouldnt mind putting him off for 2 minutes to get a picture
You could put your chameleon on a cristmas tree, depending variety of tree. Some pines are toxic, so I would keep them away from pine. Spruce, fir, and true cedars(not "cedars" such as western red cedar, easter red cedar, etc. as they can cause respiratory problems). Some species of chameleons live their whole life in conifers, such as true cedars(mostly in the mediterainian area). As long as there are no sharp ornaments, and not a lot of sap, I would say it would be okay. jrlb
...think about your poor cham trying to navigate all those prickly needles

hehe yup. . thats the common sense that kicked in with me. I thought, hmm "cute card vs. prickly feet" not worth it I like my "kids" (as my boyfriend calls them because I take better care of them than I do him hehe) too much.

Hi-
Only if you have a fake tree and the lights are off. Even then you will stress them out. If you are looking for a photo opt then make it fast, but avoid real trees altogether. Hope this helps!
