He's been having trouble with one area on his tail that won't shed right all year. I intervened in July and was able to remove the skin before it started to constrict him, and thought we had the problem licked then. But he went into brumation in August, and I didn't monitor it as carefully until early December.

Then, as I was cleaning the glass in his tank, I noticed the skin problem was back again. He wasn't in any pain yet, but I went ahead and took him to the vets anyway. His doctor told me it was not serious "yet", but I needed to start soaking his tail in Vit-E and warm water. I'm still trying to work his shed off as we speak.

Anyway, sorry for a long post, but the vet had asked about his humidity levels, and I told her they've always ran a little high for comfort, around 40-50%, and I didn't have a dehumidifier I could fit in his room. The vet suggested I look for a mini-de'fier online, and I just got one about the size of a man's wallet to put in his tank. I'll let you all know how well it works.
