I bought my BD from a petstore and he told me the one I got was about 3 months old. Now that was about 1 month to 1 and 1/2 months ago. Ok so I am under the impression that my guy is maybe 5 months old. What should he be eating?

Doh! I hit enter before I was done with my post!
I bought my BD from a petstore and the owner told me the one I got was about 3 months old. Now that was about 1 month to 1 and 1/2 months ago. Ok so I am under the impression that my guy is maybe 5 months old. What should he be eating?
He eats plenty of crickets. The problem is making sure they are dusted with calcium/d3 powder, cus those crickets are good at getting the powder off before they are eaten. How much of the powder should he be getting? Also if there is powder that is sitting on his water dish or on his basking rock he will lick it up.
What brand of vitamin supplement do you guys reccomend for a BD?
I have been giving him 2 wax worms a day for the most part coated in the stuff. Is that ok for him? I know they are fatty, but I want to bulk The Baron up a little. I know they can be addictive but my dood doesnt seem to mind when he misses his wax worms and he eats like normal.
He does like super worms. I am not feeding him whole worms. I cut them up into small pieces and he chows down on those pretty good.
He also like earthworms. They don't last too long in The Baron's domain.
Now what I really want to do is get him started on his greens. Whats the best way to that? Should I mix in the crickets with the greens or what. I know the key is to trick him into eating them but how do I do that. I can't exactly be like Ralphie's mom and ask The Baron what the little piggies do. He just wont go near them.
Any help would be appreciated. Whether he knows it or not The Baron Delicious (it used to be Mr. Delicious, but that wasn't obnoxious enough)will be thankful for your help as well.

I recommend either Rep-cal with d3 (pink Label) or Minerall I. If your putting the Barons live feeders in a plastic cup or bag with a teaspoon of either of these powders in it and shaking them up in the powder he is getting plenty calcium and d3. I usually give Calcium dusted crickets 5 days a week once a day, and 1 day I use Herptivite multivitamin powder. I don't think putting it in his water would do any good cause if the water is sitting there it will settle to the bottom, and I doubt he would lick it off the wood. Baron is at the age when you should really be working on the green/veggie part of his diet. I got mine started on veggies by dropping them from the top of the cage into a bowl. If that does not catch his attention put a few feeders in the greens so he has to go through the greens to get to them. Sooner or later he will know that whatever you put in his bowl is food. You can also try to hand feed him the greens. Just shake them in front of him a bit. I would feed the greens in the morning before he has any live food, and feed the live feeders later in the day to give him time to eat the veggies. Keep misting the greens a few times a day with cold water to keep them fresh. Good Luck.

Sweet he is eating his greens. I shredded a bunch of romaine lettuce, a few raspberrys, and a couple of superworms in one of those hand cranked dicing machines. I felt a little guilty that the superworms didnt actually get shredded all that much so I had to cut them up by hand. But yeah I mixed in some calcium powder (I still need to get some multi vitamin) and topped the pile of goodness off with 3 wax worms to get his attention. He ate one of the waxworms and ignored the others and now he is chowing down on his salad. It's a little more of a desert salad but atleast he is eating it.
Wow that's great. He took to that fast. Most dragons it takes a while before they go for the greens even with the worms in it. That's great now you can offer it like that to him for a while then slowly put less and less worms, and he should go for just the greens, and veggies. know he knows that it is pretty good food.
