personally i would not do that, even though you are there to see if he overheats, that clear plastic will overheat it, and he has no place to cool off..if your bringing him outside, even a cardboard box would work, (a large one) and give a cave or a hideout instead

they have a hard time getting out of it and you can put a basking rock in the center with a little water around in it to cool them off.

Kiddie pools are always a great way to go. Soaking and sun at the same time!

almost identical to what she did as a hatchling

shes a Red x Gold...inside she is gold, peach and lime, outside she goes red and pink... with hardly any gold showing .....very strange.

I have a big home made bird cage (I found it on trash day) That I keep out back. I wouldn't risk leaving them unattended in an open pool, we have too many birds flying around here.

either outside or inside, they enjoy dunking each other too much!

The only time they are left outside without direct supervision is when they are in their reptariums and then we can still see them from the Florida room, or what those from the north call a solarium I think

but the others don't, that is the smallest size pool 3 foot I think, the next size up has higher size and I don't think they could, the point is most don't want to, they enjoy the pool and the sun. But again, I never leave them alone outside, they also love standing on each others heads and the silly dragons just sit there under the water!

If left in the hot sun, your beardie could cook in 20 minutes. Besides, he won't get any useful UV rays through plastic. You are much better off getting a cardboard box or a screen cage. Make sure that your beardie always has a cool retreat.
