Cage question

wraithy Dec 21, 2003 08:27 PM

When I went to the Philly Herp show, I saw a guy selling screen cages with a plastic container at the bottom of the cage that he said was used for vermiculite during egglaying. Has anyone seen anything like this before? The container was the diameter of the cage bottom and it attached to the cage bottom with hooks. He also provided a plastic bottom to use in place of the basket when you werent using it.

I have looked everywhere online for the cages and I cant seem to find them. Any ideas?

hmmm... wonder if it was the same guy at the Manchester, NH show. he made the cages himself and I thought it was a neat idea but for the $$ he was asking figured I could do it myself for less. A 24"h x18" x18"d was $75 as I recall. He had a shelf in there, too to hold a plant. I liked that part, just wish I remembered how he attached it.

Lele,

Was the guy in a wheelchair? The guy I saw was in a wheelchair and he was from Florida (I think). He did make them himself and he did have shelves you could use as well. He had the shelves hung from wires that came down from the upper bars of the cage.

... he was in a wheelchair! Florida? He traveled to NH and PA? I didn't know that they came from that far away.
