I got my sliders a kiddy pool made of a flimsy plastic material. I filled it up and put em in to swim but they didnt swim. They just sank to the bottom of the pool and closed their eyes. then they started scratching their eyes like something was stuck in them. it was regular old hose water at a fair temperature so I was wondering if anyone knows what this problem might be. thanks guys

I've read that that might be the symptom of too much chlorine in the water. Imagine yourself in a chlorine filled pool, rubbing your eyes. I personally use a water treatment solution to remove the chlorine in the water. I've also read to leave the water out for at least 24 hours to let the chlorine evaporate naturally.
