mealworms

shadow4108 Dec 21, 2003 11:25 PM

It sounds as if mealworms are the best choice for feeding to beardies because of the high chitin content. (i hope i spelled that right) I have a friend who owns a sporting goods store, and since mealworms are so aparently easy to breed and raise I thought I would breed them for my beardie, and sell the "overstock" as fish bait at the sporting goods store. Anyone have any opinions on this? How many would actually be going to my beardie?

I would of course be using crickets as a staple.

You shouldn't feed mealworms to young bearded dragons because they are too hard to digest.
