sstevesnakess Dec 22, 2003 01:04 PM

Hi Guys,
notice that on a few posts on the arrow frog forum, people have successfully kept day geckos in the same setup as RETFs.
What's your opinion on this???
thanx in advance,

Personally, I wouldn't risk it. The two have different requirments, and REs can be quite sensitive and easily stressed... specially with something as large at adult age as a day gecko. The day gecko that we have at the shop I work in is MUCH larger than a full grown adult RE. I could see something pretty horrible happening in a mixed tank like that.

Actually it could be done, I woul'd risk it do to these are expensive species. Huge, or well thought out vivariums have day geckos mix with frog species. Small day geckos would do well in a big tank. Madagacar, and standings day geckos are too big. If you have hundreds of hiding places, the Red eyes would hide during the day under a leaf or log, and at night when the day geckos are a asleep, then the red eyes will come out. If carefully planned out, it is possible.
