Frozen mice/rats fuzzies

coreyfl Jun 03, 2003 06:43 PM

I was thinking of ordering these online but i was wondering how are they packed..in one big bunch or separated? Reading i see they ones i need come in 100 per bag.So does mean i have to thaw out the bag every time for feeding? If so how many times can thins be done before the food goes bad?
I'm just refering to it like chicken...i know u can't freeze..thaw.. refreeze chicken 20times then eat it.You'll get sick as a dog.Or is this different in mice/rats case?

I buy frozen for all of my animals. I keep all sizes, from hopper mice to colossal rats and they are easily pulled apart from each other before defrosting.

Refreezing meat is not dangerous and won't make you sick -- that's an urban legend. It will, however, give the meat a nasty, slimy texture as the repeated formation of ice crystals breaks down cell walls.
