Blood worms

i cant find any information on bloodworms i bought some live ones for my frogs and newts so any information would be greatly appreciated.

Real bloodworms are larvae of small flying insects like midges. I've seen them listed as mosquito larvae, however. What I've purchased locally in petshops as "bloodworms" have actually been tubifex worms, which are long, very thin annelid worms (earthworms are also annelid worms). My salamders like them all.
