When I bought my burm I got her specifically to use in presentations I do for the local public school system. Well, after a few months of my burm huffing and puffing and the occasional strike I thought she would never be suitable to use as a presentation animal. Well, she's currently a year old and has become much more docile. She still does the huff and puff when I reach into her cage to take her out but once she's out she's a perfect angel and very friendly. Give your burm time and use regular handling sessions and I'm sure yours will come around also. At only a year old and 8' long I still don't trust her enough to be handled by the children but I don't mind bringing her around and letting them pet her (while I keep her head up on my shoulder or behind me.) With patience your will be more sociable too. Good luck, Scott.

"In any civilized society, it is every citizen's responsibility to obey just laws.
But at the same time, it is every citizen's responsibility to disobey unjust laws."
