>>I have a display cage 36Wx20Dx24H with a large perch that is a spare that I was hoping would be enough for an adult male coastal. (I have a yearling male coastal carpet that is still a little guy, and still in a small cage 36x12x12. Just wondering for the future) -what do you people use for adult coastal carpets? Thanks.
*Good rule of thumb for snake caging: The lenth of the cage should be no less than half the lenth of the snake. For aborial set ups its height instead of lenth.
Might be alright as a minimum sized cage for an adult Coastal if he stays 6ft. Most Coastals make at least 7ft though. in which case 48" lenth is the minimum you want. Of course if you can afford more, thats the best!
I currently house both my adult carpets in 6'x18"x24" cages.
