Please don't be offended. I was not criticizing the small field of focus. I understand that is a function of taking a macro shot, and using a small field of focus is a method of emphasizing the subject. I think that works very well in this shot, and the subject is in very sharp focus with great detail.
What I was referring to is the fact that the portion that is out of focus does not look "fuzzy" like when you take a shot with a conventional camera. Instead, it looks heavily pixelated. If you'll notice, in the upper left hand corner, there is a lighter highlight on the bromeliad. On my screen, that highlight looks very blocky. Perhaps that's a function of my browser settings, or maybe it's how your camera interpolates the field when it is beyond the focal point. At any rate, it's a small matter that is probably a function of the hardware or perhaps the use of a digital zoom.
Regardless, the picture looks great.
