i am looking to get a monitor. wat would be a good beginner one. i am 14. is there any somewht big one that can only eat incets.

All monitors can eat both insects and rodents (ok, little ones would need little rodents). Which one you feed is up to you, but a big monitor is going to need a BUNCH of insects period. No way around that. Lots of monitor = lots of food. If you can breed roaches or buy thousands of crickets at a time, knock yourself out. If not, get a smaller monitor.
(perhaps I should look into breeding feeder wetas, but that's another story)
