I know I just posted, but like I said in the previous one, I haven't posted in a while and the ideas and questions have built up, need to clear them all out.
So my question is about lighting. I have a perfectly fine setup right now, a UTH on a thermostat on 24/7 and a 75 watt bulb on a timer. The temps on the hot side are about 85-90 during the day and 75-80 at night. Right now I have the light come on from 8am to 10pm and I never turn any other light on in my room. At night I use the glow of my 19inch monitor to get around my room. However, sometimes I like to sleep past 8 am and the light prohibits that sometimes, not all the time. I was thinking of going with a CHE instead of the bulb, but keeping it on the same timer. This way the heating cycle would be the same as before. However, daylight hours around here are from about 7am-5pm and I don't wake up untill 10 on most weekends. That would mean that the light cycle for Jak would only be about 10am - 5pm. Would this be a bad idea? Will the short light cycle cause Jak to go into brumation? Or is that more so effect by the heat? So like I said before, everything is working fine, I'm jsut trying to make Jak and I be a little more comfortable living with one another =) Any and all input is much appreciated. Sorry it was so long again.
