What size or model of rubbermaid container would be the best for an adult BRB?
Happy Holidays!!
I'm makeing a rack including pythons, boids and coulibrids so I need to know the dimensions of an adult BRB's requirements or If there is a specific model rubbermaid that has worked for experienced BRB breeders. And where abouts on the rack should the BRB be placed? Is there a better spot (closer to the top of the rack, lower, less heat etc.) that they like?
Thanks, and sorry for the second post!

Oogey,
. I keep young BRBs in rubbermaid style boxes in slider racks. The largest ones I keep in them are 4.5 to 4.75 feet long and I keep them in 28x14x6 inch sterilite boxes. Adult BRBs need a cage larger than this. There are some storage boxes larger than this but I do not know the model numbers on them. You may have problems with temperature control in a rack with Pythons and BRBs and Colubrids. Typical Colubrid temperatures would be a little cool and typical Python temperatures would be way too hot for BRBs.
Jeff.

I thought about that whole temp issue... So I was thinking I'd have to seperately heat those guys with UTH and a dimmer/thermostat. But thanks, the dimensions is all I needed. For my Bp's I have boughten a 38.5x18x6 for the adults. That would still be too small for a BRB?
Thanks and Merry Christmas!!

Kristy,
. That size would be small but perhaps okay for a young small 5 to 5.5 foot long adult. The 6inch height is what I would be most concerned about. Adult BRBs often get over 6 feet long. A few get over 7 feet long. Have a look at some of the Barrs or Boaphile Plastics or Vision cages. They are more money but you will eventually need something larger than the low boxes you are considering.
