I have a 36" Zoo Med ReptiSun 5.0 UBV bulb. I was mesasuring the distance from the bulb to different parts of the habitat. The closed base is 15˝" to 17" (slants down) away from the UBV bulb and the farest is 25". I remember reading that the maximun distance should be no more than 12". I this correct. If some, I need to find some other way to mount the bulb in her habitat.

UVA: what ever distance gets you the correct temperatures (as long as the dragon cant touch it)
UVB: 12 inches for 12 hours and and needs to be replaced at 6 months (for the ones that look like flourescent bulbs)
